What support will I get from my tutor?
You will be assigned a qualified and experienced tutor to provide assistance. You can email your tutor at any time or phone during business hours. Any queries will be responded to within one working day.
You can connect with other students taking the course by linking to the discussion forums from your personal page.
What happens if I want to cancel my course?
How do I enrol in a course?
Click the ‘Get Started Now’ button on the course page. You can then pay via bank transfer, credit card or an interest free payment plan, alternatively call us on 0800 112 0911 and we will process everything over the phone for you. Once you have enrolled, within one working day you will receive a welcome email from your tutor and your Totora login details.

Yes – employers constantly approach The Career Academy looking for students and employers also advertise for jobs on The Career Academy Job Centre (available on once you enrol). Check out our Job Ready Program!
How do the assessments work?
Assignments are open book and a combination of multi-choice, short answer questions and case studies. Once you’ve completed your assessment, simply upload it for marking. Your tutor will review and mark your assignments, usually within two working days.
How does online learning work?
Your course will be delivered by Totora. You can access Totora from any web browser so you can work whenever and where ever you have time. You can also interact with your tutors and other students in the Moodle environment. Online learning allows you to make the best use of your time and puts all the resources you need at your finger tips. There are no set course start dates, you can start when ever you are ready.
Your tutors will check in on your progress and you do need to set up time to do your work. Most of The Career Academy courses are designed so that you do one module a week. But if life gets busy you can take longer, or if you have time you can do more than one module a week.
Can I complete the course via correspondence or can you print the course notes out for me?
Yes – simply select this upgrade option when you enrol and we will send you printed course notes. You will still need to submit your assignments online via Moodle. There is a fee for printing your course notes. Call a course advisor on 0800 112 0911

Any queries will be responded to within one working day. Some Certificate courses have optional online student study groups. You will be placed in a study group with other students completing the same course as you which will enable you to connect, interact and share experiences. Study groups are limited in size to ensure individual attention and easy interaction with other students.
